The Green Man exists only in Scanner's imagination - in his dreams to be more precise. He is merely an aspect of Scanner's subconscious mind, dispensing invaluable advice when Scanner is in times of need.

The Green Man, being merely a character within a dream, likes to bring a touch of surreality to his surroundings, and is often accompanied by his silent slave, the White Man. Together they make possibly the weirdest couple you are ever likely to encounter, or indeed dream of.
